Intelligence is not a measure of great leadership. Unfortunately, Bush is not only not very intelligent but he's not a great leader either. He aspires to be a great leader, and he thinks he is a great leader, but aspiration and personal belief don't make a great leader either. A great leader inspires people to do things they may not want to do; Bush has only been able to inspire us to do that which we were willing to do in the first place. He's been riding the wave of inspiration provided not by himself but rather by Osama bin Laden. Hell, even Mickey Mouse could have inspired America to go to war in Afghanistan, Iraq or any muslim country after 911. Only a great leader will be able to inspire us to stay there now that we no longer want to be, and that leader is not George Bush.

This is a loaded question, and leads one to believe that their assumption of intellegence is the same as anothers.
Because you ask for a number, like ,"what is your pain rated at, 1 being a dull pain, and 10 being the sharpest?"
Everyone has a different pain threshhold, so what could be dull to you and I at a 2, would be a 4 or 5 to another.
I see no point in debating the intellegence of one, without first looking at the question and seeing if it is valid.

Surely that scale would have to include negative numbers. If the man was any dumber he'd need a helmet.

8-9.
You need to be smart if you become president of the US.
Even if he fooled the American public and took advantage of teh Bible-belt voters.. you need to be smarter than average, Then to fool the entire Pepublican Party.
How about the fact that he won 2 Presidential elections!!!
Whether you agree with him& his policies or not, you still have to admit.. one doesnot become a president by being stupid.

Hmmmmm.........if
1(dump as a rock) - 10(superior intelligence)
George would get a (-2)....
He however did surround himself with enough 6's to get him elected. As far as G.W. when he speaks for himself, not reading speeches and cue cards, he is a freaking idiot! Making up worlds left and right and all those uh....well, uh moments he has.....COME ON!
I LOVE the comment made about him looking like a deer in the headlights all the time.....LMAO>>>how true<<<
I am embarrassed to be in a country that CHOSE him to to lead us..........=(

According to your scale I would give him a 2 on the intelligence scale. But a 10 on the incompetence scale.

i feel intelligence is based on your reasoning skills... the ability to take what you know and make educated decisions based on that.... he's a 10. too many people hear the verbal blunders of W's and think it means that he's an idiot. that's ridiculous. if we did that, we should say Einstein and Lincoln were braindead. they had little social skills and their grammar could be seen as child-like.. read some of their quotes..

Not sure, but I do know his intelligence far outranks the vast majority of libs in this country so, that would put him at a minimum of 2-3.
