I did that in class with a friend, K in 4th grade, haha, we totaly got away with it!

A bit, but it has to be simple, short sentences, and I have to have at least some idea of what theye'd be talking about! But as far as having a whole conversation with just lips, no way!

I'm "hard of hearing" as they say, so I learned to read lips to understand what people were saying without wearing those stupid hearing aids (no use in the club because of all the extra background noises, can't talk on the phone with them on, they're uncomfortable, etc.).

My best friend is deaf and does not sign. She taught me to read lips. Best night club tool ever! We can tell you what people are talking about three tables away.

Well, kinda! I can but it has to be accompanied by at least some sort of gestures! (which would ruin the point of using it in a classroom!)
