Not the bridge collapse although you can pray for them too .
I am talking about the 30,000 who died of malnutrition and poor medical care .
I am talking about the 400 people who die from smoking a legal product or the 350 who die from alcohol related problems .

Maybe you have no idea of how many people pray for the souls of the faithful departed...you have no idea.

Have no idea where you get those figures. Out of thin air I imagine. And I don't remember reading about who made you an authority on American hypocrites. Are you in church every time a disaster happens world wide, or just when one close to home catches your attention on national news? Perhaps you should examine your own values and motives before making lofty accusatory statements.

We have started a prayer chain at church for those involved in the tragedy in MN. One does not need to go to church to pray. God is with us always. Yes, we do take time out of our day to talk to God and thank him for all the blessings he has given us. One true blessing... We traveled on that very bridge 5 weeks ago while in MN for an auction.

My prayers started yesterday while I was sitting on the couch in my home and watching the horrible tragedy unravel on FoxNews. My prayers continued this morning as I listened in my car on the way to work to hear the update over my radio. From what I gather in the book of Acts, Jesus did not need a building to preach or heal....why should I need a church to pray??

Dude, do you really believe that the only place you can pray is at church?

A true believer talks to God all day long, not just on Sunday morning or when they are located in a particular building.

I am. I'm going to pray that God goes back in time and stops the bridge from collapsing. But unfortunately, God only grants prayers that are already going to happen anyway.

God is not only in a church. Why not just pray for them at work

I do not have to go to a church to pray for the hungry, sick and lost. It is a part of my everyday life. As for the rest of your statement. Who are to lay such a judgement on others?

It's a ******* bridge, get a grip because things happen. I am sorry but I think God can handle things without me paying attention to every loss of life. (how about we pray every time 400 + Iraqis die)

I can't make it to church because I work, but will say a rosary during my lunch hour. It's the best I can do right now.
