I have not been feeling well for a few days - a bit nauseous, light headed, and some minor upper abdominal pain (similar placement to my gallbladder pain, but not severe, just uncomforable). I thought I just wasn't feeling well, but a co-worker just asked if I could be pregnant. I am sexually active with my fiance, but have been on the pill for years and am good about taking it. I don't feel ready for a baby so I guess I am really just looking for an affirmation that I am just sick and this woman was out of line to even ask.

Regarding gall bladder issues - I had it removed when I was 16 - so it wouldn't be affecting me now. Forgot to mention that previously.

My extreme tiredness started at 10 dpo and my nausea started around the time I missed my period.

Morning sickness can start relatively early in a pregnancy and end when God says so. There are more women than you could imagine who have gotten pregnant while on the pill. So a pregnancy test would be a wise way of coming up with your next move. I can tell you that pregnancy and the pill do not mix well. Also a pregnancy could aggravate your gallbladder problems.
In general a good sense of the absurd and lots of laughter are good ways of dealing with just about anything.
If test is positive then buy saltine crackers and place some in a container next to your side of the bed. Before you raise your head of the pillow eat a few crackers slowly. Always have water by your bed. Then get up slowly, to a sitting position. For the first few minutes of waking you should not make any sudden moves. Your body is doing a major rearrangement of fluids and chemicals so move slowly until you get your balance back. If this doesn't work and your nausea is at the extreme end of the scale you will need to talk to your doctor about it. Best of luck with any decision you make.
If the test is negative you are probably experiencing a gallbladder flair up. You need to go see your doctor.

How early do you feel nauseous/tired when pregnant?

Nausea and tiredness can come very early, it is most frequent during the first trimester of pregnancy, but each pregnancy is different and some pregnancies don't involve nausea and tiredness at all, while some pregnancies involve nausea and tiredness all the way through. Your gall bladder could indeed be the cause of your discomfort, or you could also have a virus.

It sounds like it would be best to see your doctor since you evidently have had gall bladder disease before. He can rule out pregnancy or a virus or other causes. You can also rule out pregnancy yourself with a simple test from the drugstore and if you are really concerned about that, you should do that.

Perhaps you were complaining about your discomfort to your co-worker and that is why she asked about pregnancy as a possible cause. Probably she was only trying to help. She may have been prying to try to find out if you are sexually active, but I would give her the benefit of the doubt. If you think she is prying, then you can decide whether to confide in her again or just keep your feelings to yourself.

To be honest I didn't feel right from the day I concieved. I know it's hard to believe but some women know from the first day....I didn't get hard blown effects of morning sickness until week 4 and that was horrible. I couldn't keep nothing down....I was puking 4-5x a day. I just was miserable. It continuted for about a week...so up until just a week ago it started to subside. I also been taking vitamins and getting plenty of rest. I didn't notice a whole lot of the changes with sleeping until after the effects of morning sickness kicked in but I think it was because I was just drained from all the vomitting. I'd say just take a hpt...if it comes back negative then wait another week or two and if your still not sure then go see your doctor...Goodluck

the weekend after I conceived I became nauseous, not strongly but enough to be noticed. Though it wasn't for 2 months more that I got really sick. i became pregnant before and noticed a marked rush of adrenaline during climax that was very different from normal that i felt this time too. who knows :)

I started getting sick with both pregnancies at 5 weeks. With this one, before I found out, I was feeling nauseous when I woke up before I found out.

Yes it is normal, I worried to as my symptoms dissapeared at 9 weeks. Many of those awful pregnancy symptoms dissappear at the beginning of the 2nd trimester, could be you got there a little early also. Pregnancy symptoms disappearing is not a sign of miscarriage. Cramping, bleeding, fever, things like that are. I think you are fine. Enjoy not feeling pregnant, you are one of the lucky ones!

If you are good about taking your pill, then I doubt you're pregnant. I was on the pill when I got pregnant, but I had skipped a pill or two so that is how I got pregnant. When I took the pill the RIGHT way, it was flawless and always worked.

I was about 2 weeks along when I began feeling like this. I felt like I had the flu. I wouldn't necessarily consider her out of line for asking, she probably wanted to make sure that it was a possibility, and that if you are, you begin taking care of yourself properly.
