Your question caught my interest.
I can only guess that you are wondering what is, or does, a humanitarian do, and also want to know what humanitarian groups are out there to support, or volunteer for.

If you have a house, transportation, good food, plenty of water, and a safe place to sleep, and you know of someone that does not have even one of the things , you would be helping them achieve the same basic comfort if you were a humanitarian.
A humanitarian does not help others because he/she wants to make money.
The money collected by MANY humanitarian organizations pays almost 80 percent of the collected money into the pockets of its staff, and advertising. Sometimes leaving as little as 7 cents off the dollar for actual aid.
A GOOD humanitarian would call these Organizations out, and charge them with fraud if they had the evidence.
I would say let your heart lead, where your feet should follow.
Do not be willing to have peace of mind, until you know you have done ALL YOU CAN to ensure peace of mind to someone else.
