You've got that right! In this town an overpass produced a monster hole. A bridge over the highway had to shut down. This town is under construction. There is no place you can drive that isn't a cone zone. It would be wonderful if we put as much into our country as we seem to others.

Yep, all empires fall sooner or later.
Our cracking infastructure has been an issue for many decades.
Nobody wants to address it and yet, as you say, if we took the money we are wasting in Iraq and applied it to repairing and updating our infastructure, our country would be the envy of every person around the world.

the United States has a military budget that is equal to all of the other countries in the world. Not some countries, all of them. Something is wrong with that picture. I believe in a strong military, but this is a little crazy. China has ten time more people than we have, they have a strong military, but they don't spend near what the U.S. does. Where is all this money going????????????????????

we have a country the whole world admires and respects, thats why they're all trying to get in. and to protect this nation that we've created we have to maintain defense. rome fell because it failed to maintain a standing army and relied on germanic tribes paid to defend their borders.
