why don't you buy your own damned mode of transportation so you don't have to put up with other people using PUBLIC transport?

I agree with taking rubbish home with them
But people are entitled to eat !
Some buses do have rules which state you can't eat nor drink on the bus, but they are ignored, and it can sometimes be a dangerous situation for the driver if he/she asks someone to stop eating/drinking.
Why don't you learn to drive ?
Get a taxi ?
Get someone to give you a lift ?
That way you don't have to use public transport !
I personally don't use any type of public transport for various reasons.

In NJ, you are not allowed to eat, drink or play radios. That doesn't necessarily stop people from doing any of those things. It's usually up to the driver. If the passenger hides it from the driver, then I would bring it to the driver's attention.
Now, the noise of radios have been replaced with the noise of conversations on cell phones.

There are notices banning smoking, eating, drinking (and probably breathing) but no one reads them or obeys them!
Reason - there is nobody to enforce them!
In extreme cases the driver stops his bus but this is very rare!
Law enforcement is pathetic!

I would think that people do not like that smoke in there lungs which is second hand smoke and causes cancer and it also gets in your hair and clothes and smells. Food is not that way.

I think they should stop teenagers and old people as well. And as for those pregnant women who expect a seat because they forgot contraception, well, don't even get me started on that one!
