I just got my period this morning. Do you think I would be able to start my birth control to stop my period?

If you want to stop your period immediately, this will not work, as your body needs time to adjust to the hormones. Contrary to popular belief, you can skip the period week pills and instead start the new pack to stop your period, but it can take a few months for your body to adjust, and in some cases not work at all. They do make birth control pills that you take where you get only 4 periods a year. If you are looking into not having your period long term, I would call your gyno and discuss other birth control methods such as a different pill.

You can stop your period by continuing with your birth control instead of taking the "fake" pills for a week a month. However, this is not safe for your body at all so I do not suggest it..

Nope, and depending upon your birth control, you most likely need to begin your birth control this coming sunday.

Most likely not. what type are you going on?

I would just start it when the doctor told you to.

it might work, but you have to take like 4 a day, which would totally ruin your schedule and your body.

No. Your cycle has already started so if you started your b.c. pills, it wouldn't stop the flow.
