It shouldn't be common, if a person is considerate, treats you with respect, why should it matter whether they are blue collar workers or not?

Many women may consider them 'low caste', but they are probably not in a position to judge. That kind of attitude comes from a lack of intelligence and has set unrealistic and ridiculous expectations for a mate.
Truth: Most blue collar workers make alot more money than the vast majority of white collar workers
Truth: Blue collar workers are handy...will save you tons of money around the house and will get things done for you without having to call in a 'professional'

I love blue collar guys as long as they are smart. There is nothing sexier than blue collar smart, Thats the guy who works hard and understands life and also reads books and is a family man. My dad was like that. totally cool guy!
There is obviously a class element at some level because there are some jobs you dont need an education to get. So some guys have to put up with that but it builds them into characters. Thats kind of fun I guess. But alot of those guys who know how to handle it end up makign a lot of money. Everyone knows that.

As someone pointed out, I'm sure a lot of blue-collar worke have girlfriends or are married. So, obviously, it's not that common.
Then, you have the question of social class: some people do not want to date outside of their social class (apparently, especially in the UK - I read that in a sociological book). It's actually pretty common and it goes both ways. But times are changing and I don't think people really care about social class anymore.

I think it's as common as men saying they don't want to go out with "lower-class" women. This is a very classist society, which the US tries to hide, since we are told to believe the myth that if you work hard enough, any of us can be wealthy millionaires, like the handful that do.
I grew up in poor rural areas, and even there, there's a "class" system, of who grows up on a small plot of land and lives in a trailer, compared to those with a big amount of land, live in a big house, and have lots of barns/silos! In small towns, the people with "professional" jobs, like the doctor, dentist, etc look down on the people who "work with their hands", like the plumber, electrician, or in our case, the farmers. I can't tell you how many times I heard boys and girls talk about the "stinky" farm boys/girls.
So yes, some people are classist, and dislike being around people who work for a living with their hands, versus sitting on their you-know-what for a living. Sometimes it goes the other way as well, I heard many a time a farm boy/girl say they didn't want to be around any of those "stuck-up" "town boys/girls" (vs rural farm boys/girls).
Edit: I've dated men and women who were professional, blue-collar, and poor. If a person is intelligent, mature, and fun, that's what I'm attracted to, not what they do for a living. My boyfriend now does "blue-collar" work, I think he's incredibly talented, and am very proud of him.

Very few people take the caste system seriously. I would prefer a white-collar guy, as I'm used to that setting (my whole family is like that, and I'm bound for a white-collar career), but blue-collar is still acceptable.

Been married to a blue collar worker for over 25 years, and honey, he rakes in the dough. So, I don't care what the class system says, we vacation in Europe every year.

Not in Australia. They're the ones making all the money over here. blue collar or people that work with their hands are in such demand that they are making big bucks. So drop the office dude and find a good brickie.

I would say it's only common to those who would consider themselves included in a "superior" class.
Other than that I don't think it's common at all, I love blue collar boys, something about honest hard labor and good character.

Now why are you attempting to stir up worry?? maximum whites do no longer hate Obama because of the fact in the event that they did, McCain could be President at present. Get genuine, Obama would not have been able to tug by using without the white votes, incredibly in those white ruled states.
