It's scary and those poor people. It's makes me nervous driving across the GWB and other bridges. God Bless Them! Opinions?

In a situation like that, I seriously doubt that there is anything that anyone can do. When you suddenly find yourself trapped in your car and plummeting through the air surrounded by tons and tons of falling steel, concrete, and other cars, you are definitely NOT in control of the situation. I think it's safe to say that there is not a whole lot that anyone in that situation could do other than die or wait to be rescued if they somehow managed to survive.

You just never know when your number is up. Most of those people were looking forward to driving home after a hard day's work. A lot of bridges are old, unsafe and in dis-repair and a lot of states (like mine NJ) do not have the funding to repair them.

It's horrible, I hope they find out what caused it. I know if I was on the bridge I'd stay as calm as I could, being clam in situations like that often save people's lives. It's when they freak out that things go array and they die. I mean I don't know how calm I'd actually be, but I'd try to be.

Oh, that's terrible... you know, I'm still shocked because of the airplane accident which took place in São Paulo, here in Brazil... almost 200 people died. It's unbelievable how accidents take place so fast and destroy lives, places... :(

driving in from long island to manhattan..on the lie..it is elevated just before the midtown tunnel approach...
many mnay times..i've wondered..about that road..when stuck in bumper to bumper traffic...so much so that i take alternate roads..

crazy, but not unbelievable, and how long is this going to be on TV, and what stupid name are they going to give it, etc.
Do the best I could to help myself and those around me get to a safe place.
