The fact is with some people they are seeking attention. That is not the case with most however. I have known gay people in my life. Both men and women. I think they are just attracted to the same sex. Men see other men the same way you see them when you look at them. The same goes with women that like other women. I really think if they had a real choose many would not pick that lifestyle. The fact is, is they are treated badly by people, even their own family's sometimes. They are looked at as strange and odd and often shunned by the majority of society. That is why I think people do not chose to be be that way but are born that way. While that is true for the vast majority of them there is that small bunch that clam to be just for some reason or another. It is kinda like the way that after 9/11 a number of Americans chose to become Muslim. It is for attention. I have found that for the most part people who are homosexual are nice, friendly and just like any other group of people. There are good and bad in them as a whole. While I respect your opinion I can not agree with what and how you chose to say it.

People are gay because people can become attracted to one another. People are straight in the same way people are gay, you just like different people.

It is not a sin, and if you are going to go around calling out all of the sins in the bible, I suggest you stop eating shellfish and never let your man shave his beard.

It is not unnatural, if it were, then no species would practice it willingly. Yet humans are not the only ones who do.

It is not non-productive. Homosexuals have the same amount of productivity that heterosexuals do (sometimes more). And if you are referring to being unable to having children.. there is adoption. Raising abandoned children to make more productive members of society who would otherwise be out on the curb? I think that's productive..

It is not socially harmful. Societies vary depending on where you are. People change over time, and societies will always differ in some ways. Even the people within a society are different. The only thing that hurt society is people who cannot tolerate others and basically blacklist certain groups.

It is not disgusting to me and millions of other people. I think your attitude is disgusting, but I'm sure you'd disagree. And there comes the difference of OPINION.

These are all my honest answers, in case you'd like to know.

Also I think you should take your name a little more seriously. Because clearly you do not even recognize your own baseless anger and hatred when it's glaring you in the face.

Why are you so hateful?

Its a sin
Its Unnatural
Its nonproductive
Its Socially harmful
Its disgusting

Do you seriously think that people would have such a hard time announcing to their family and friends that their homosexual if it were a choice or attention seeking? Do you think that gay people enjoy being beaten up in school? Do you think that they enjoy the difficulty in finding a partner?

My answer is grow up and learn some tolerance of people you simply don't understand. Seriously.

While I think this was just an attempt to spread your hate speech, I'm going to try to give you an honest answer.

I know with all my soul that I was born gay. God made me this way, and who are we to question God's reasons for what he does? The section of the Bible that condemns homosexuality is also the part of the book that condemns eating pork, wearing clothes made out of blended fabrics, growing a garden in certain ways, and a lot of other outdated notions that probably made sense to people at the time.

Perhaps you need to study the history of the Bible itself a little. King James (who was certainly no saint by anyone's standards) had his men sort through hundreds of "books" of religious testaments written by various Christian disciples. None of these books were written by any of the original apostles (they were just copies written by random followers that had heard versions passed down to them for a hundred years). King James' staff pieced the Bible together picking the books they liked best, and those that probably would support King James' personal political goals the best.

If you're dead set on looking at the Bible as the literal word of God, at least take the time to read the parts about not judging other people. Oh, and instead of coming on here to bash people you don't even know, you could maybe volunteer to help the homeless at a soup kitchen as a better use of your time. God loves and supports gay people because he purposely put them on this earth.

No one can be born gay? Tons of scientific studies have shown that gay people are biologically predestined to be gay. No credible scientists believe anything otherwise. Only thinly veiled "religious fundamentalist science" tries to indicate otherwise. The same people that say people can't be biologically born gay are the same people that deny the dinosaurs ever existed.

Furthermore, being gay is perfectly natural. There are even gay animals! Animals can't sin because they don't seem to have the ability to think that rationally. If animals can turn out gay, it must be a natural thing, right?

As for gays being socially harmful... what could you possibly mean by that? Do they harm you by finding love and not living a lie? The only social change that most gays would like to have is the ability to have a civil union. All that would mean is that partners could inherit property from each other after death, they could visit each other at the hospital, and they could have a legal way to divorce if they decide to break up.

Gays aren't productive? I suppose you think gay people don't have careers, families, and interests outside just having sex! I suggest that you bother to take the time to meet some real gay people before you make such hard conclusions. You might find that you have a lot more in common with gays and lesbians than you originally thought. We're all human beings and we all just want to be loved and accepted.

In my heart I think you are probably a good, but really misguided, person. I'm going to pray really hard that God will open your eyes and help you see that what's really "disgusting" in this world is intolerance and bigotry. I worry that a lot of you "activist Christians" are going to have a big surprise on the day you die. I think God's going to have to tell you the sad news that you weren't doing his will after all and that you've wasted your life fighting the wrong battle. Have a blessed day.

If you already think you know it all, why are you even asking? You know as well as I that you're not interested in answers. You just want to tell your opinion, hear from others who agree and pick on the homosexuals who beg to differ.

How exactly is homosexuality socially harmful? Since when is two people loving each other harmful?

"Unnatural", "disgusting" and a "sin" are opinions, not facts.

If people like you spent half as much time fighting against real problems like hate, wars, poverty and crimes instead of trying to stop people from loving each other beyond what you think is ok then this world would be a better place.

To begin with, I am not gay; however, I am not fearful or bothered by their choices as long as it is not pushed on me.

It is only a sin in your faith, opinion
It is only unnatural to one who is not
It is only socially harmful to those of intolerance, racism, bigotry
It is only disgusting to those who are not.

As to being born gay...there is scientific evidence that some gays are born this way. There are genetic defects where children are born with both male/female parts and/or both or the opposite hormones causing the attraction to same sex.
Your statement that none are born gay is one lacking of education.....just trying to open your eyes...no offense.

Again, I am not gay; however, I truly believe it is not my place to judge others by their beliefs...Nor it is yours. It is this kind of attitude that perpetuates social harm by creating intolerance, racism, bigotry, lack of understanding, judgmental attitudes based on differences of opinions, etc.

I mean you no disrespect...truly, but you asked for serious answers. I am not asking you to agree with me or gay choice; however, I wish you would consider the possibility that your question and opinion may also be socially harmful.

Blessings

What are you asking this?

It's unkind
It's nonproductive
It's socially harmful
It's disgusting

If there was a god you would be sinning, I'm pretty sure not loving thy neighbor is a sin.

I think i was born this way, since i have been attracted to women forever. Do you really think i would sleep with women if i didn't fancy them? If i found men attractive i would be with men!

So when you think of the same sex you are not attracted to them, right? Well that's how i feel about men, they just don't turn me on in the slightest. But women on the other hand, i do find attractive. I have only ever fallen in love with other females. I fall in love the same way as you but the gender of my partners is the same as me. Why can't you see my love is as genuine as yours?

Here we go again! Do you not have a life? Can't you come up with logical questions? Why are you so judgmental, maybe you are the one that is seeking attention. Life your life how you see fit and let others (gay or straight) live theirs how they see fit.
Why don't you focus all that energy on racist people, and pedophiles and corrupt politician, aren't there lifestyles socially harmful, aren't there actions unnatural and non productive? They live in sin too and I don't see you judging them!
And let me guess you live a Christian life! GOD is the only one who can judge his children.

Really? And how the hell would you know if people are born gay? The only way you can possibly know is if you are gay.

It's really funny to me when stupid people (such as yourself) try to claim that "it's crazy to say that people are born gay" and "people are definitely NOT born gay."

What kind of authority can you possibly have on this subject?

None.

So do us all a favor and shut up.

You have no more knowledge about what it's like to be gay than I know what it's like to have a vagina.
