What is the best action RPG for the PS2? I really liked the Kingdom Hearts series so I am looking for something similar to that.

Star Ocean Till The End Of Time, and Radiata Stories. Both made by Square Enix, same as Kingdom Hearts (It was Square Soft before the merge...)

If you like action RPGs, I highly recommend Dark Cloud 2 (released as Dark Chronicle outside of the USA). It's a lot of fun. The battle system is great, leveling up weapons is really cool because their appearance changes as they evolve, and you can invent different weapons with an interesting system. This is one of my favorite action RPGs of all time. Give it a rent, I guarantee you'll enjoy it. (And if you want to complete it, you'll buy it. It's quite an epic game.)

god of war o_0?? any way try the tales of the abyss,okami kinda, FF12, dark cloud etc just go to your local game store and ask what they got

final fantasy is ok, but i wouldnt know cuz i have a 360.
