I agree with you. It's become rediculous now in the media.
I heard the conspiracy theory junkies ready to start their rants at a moments notice! I also heard on the news that one bridge in america collapses every week. Those are 20 feet and under, but this was a huge structure malfunction in MN. No one ever talks about the things that matter, and no one is aware. My local news didn't even cover some flooding last week where people had to be rescued. Everyone is just as caught up in their daily life...You never expect to be driving along one day and the road falls out from underneath you.
I have never liked to drive over bridges anyway, especially with all the traffic my city gets daily.

My daughter lives in Minnesota after having just graduated from the U of M. Her dorm was a couple blocks from that bridge and she drove over it all the time.
When I saw that on TV last night I was frantic. You could not call there because the lines were jammed. Family members called to see if I had heard from her. FINALLY she called and said she was not there. She went to look at it later and said thousands and thousands of people turned out to see what happened. It was an IMMENSE tragedy and my prayers are with the families of those hurts and killed.
If I see ANY liberal on this site blame President Bush for the accident I will surely wish bad things upon them today. Not Christian...okay...I give you that. I know what we went through yesterday and for anyone to make this horrible event into a political fight while there are still people trapped under that bridge would make my skin crawl and I could not be sorry today for what I think about them.

You're too late. There are those that say that Bush should have spent Iraq's war funds here on our infrastructure and there are accounts that Ed Schultz already blamed Bush publicly on a show.

As a Minnesotan (I live in St. Paul, so luckily I drive on 35E and not on 35W) I don't blame anyone, I just wish that more pressure was being put on fixing roads and bridges and not on trying to use public funds for a new stadium for the Twins and Vikings.

your slow.. it's already been blamed on the democratic mayor and the republican governor on this site... I give it within the hour before the link to the fact that it's a federal bridge makes it Bush's fault as president or the Democrats fault for not supporting the war in Iraq.
You heard it here first.

There are dozens of people dead. I have no problem with people asking questions to try to learn WHY it happened. But for people to use this issue like a pawn in some political game--and I mean the Republicans saying "when will the liberals start whining" as surely as Democrats who may or may not say, "This is Bush's fault"--sickens me.
Have some respect for the dead, and for their loved ones.

Like the first posted stated, "it already has". It is absolutely disgusting that there are those who will sink to the level of turning others personal grief and tragedy into political ammunition.

I think global warming made the bridge collapse. And W doesn't care about global warming. And, the bridge collapsed because W hates minorities.

It's either Bush or Clinton at fault for the bridge collapse.
