just want to know opinions if you were caught between the love of your life and the person who's been with you through thick and thin for years......

This isnt a question that you can answer like that. At least not to me. I am the type of person that has to know the situation. I need to know why am I choosing between these two people. My husband and I had been together for almost 2 years and my best friend had been with me for almost 8. She was VERY jealous of my man and didnt like the fact that I was getting married and so were most of our friends which would in turn leave her alone and she tried to sabotage our relationship. She lied and did unthinkable things including trying to get my husband to have sex with her. Her and I are still friends but we lost alot of wha tmade us friends to begin with.
On the other hand, I had another best friend and we were always hanging out together and spending time together and I actully fixed her up with my husbands best friend. I had known the guy for a couple years and I thought they would make a good couple.
The guy was awesome as a friend but HORRIBLE as a boyfriend. He would get mad over the slightest things if she wasnt right by his side. He even did some of the things my former best friend had accused my husband of doing with her. Needless to say she ended up chosing to spend time with me over him and they broke up but not before my husband nearly beat the crap out of him for hitting on his wife.
So like I said it all depends on the situation.

Who is making you choose? If you are truly happy in both relationships there shouldn't be a problem. The only reason a true friend would want you to choose is because the guy is no good. If its your boyfriend who wants you to choose then he may be jealous or trying to control you and getting you to ditch your friend may be the first of many power struggles you may have with him. Hope you can keep them both good lovers and good friends can be hard to find!

Hands-down the person I'd been friends with for years and years. Men come and go, but your real friends are the ones who've put up with you, through rational and crazy, whatever you've done that you shouldn't have. They care about you, they've proven they care about you, and they deserve more loyalty than somebody you met six months ago. Having said that, your best friend needs to return the favor by not interfering in your romances.

Funny you should ask this. My "best friend" just essentially dumped me for her boyfriend. So obviously her answer to this question would have been the boyfriend over the best friend. Ironically I was the one who pushed her to go out with him.
Anyways I think that it should be friends over boyfriends. You never know about boys. You can put your guard down once, and then they'll drop you. But then again, I have no friend to choose over my boyfriend right now so I pick my boyfriend :-)

My boyfriend is my best friend. I would choose him even if he wants. Any and all of my friends don't talk to me too much and they get super jealous and try to rip you apart from your boyfriend. Plus, during the time in which you have a boyfriend, nobody makes me happier. When he is gone, my friends never helped me out. They'd rather talk about them. Another reason, I refuse to have any friends that are girls. So In the time that we've broken up, I got plot out ways to get him back which always turns out working. Soooo yeah.

hi i would choose my best friend because he will be beside u what ever happens u should have confidence in him but boy friend may leave u for another girl but u must make the disishion all boys are not bad may be u r boy friend is a nice guy so think before u choose any one

id have to choose my bestfriend. SHE Is amazing. she is like my older sister. i can talk to her about anything, and everything and know she will give me her honest opinion and she helps me everyday and i know i can be my retarted crazy self around her and she can do the same with me. she makes me laugh harder than anyone else. a friendship kinda love is WAY deeper than any man can bring to you having a boyfriend is nice but a bestfriend is even better. i serioulsy would never coose a guy over her id couldnt.

I don't have any good friends that I've had for years, and even if I did I would still choose my boyfriend! I love him to death, I consider him my best friend too!!

My best friend is really good for me, she tells me exactly what she thinks of me and doesn't lie. But I don't have a boyfriend so I kind of have to say best friend. Well, I would choose her anyway, cos she was there for me when my crush told me he wanted to be just mates cos she could see I was dead upset yet was still there for me! Hope that helps...
