Probably not charging. Check the voltage at the battery when running.

The above are great answers. When you press the start, do you hear a "click"? If so, it might be your starter. Brand new batteries need to be fully charged before put into the bike. Some bikes wont start if the voltage in the battery is too low. Do you have a loose connection in the battery lead(s)?

First off, did you fully bench charge the battery before installation? Even though manufactures claim the battery is shipped fully charged, it losses some charge sitting on the store shelf for Gawd knows how long before it sells. Put it on a charger overnight.
If that's not the problem, get a decent volt meter/multi-meter:

Check across the battery terminals (positive to positive, negative to negative), with engine running, rev it up, voltage SHOULD rise with RPM's.
If NOT, then you have a charging system problem, either a fuse, a bad alternator, bad voltage regulator, or a bad/broken/shorted/disconnected wire.
