With the average of over 16,000 murders a year in the United States, why is not there an outcry from the left for us to leave our own country. This is over 4 times the amount of U.S. losses in Iraq in over four years just in one year in our own country. Yes, I ask this question in jest, but, that is exactly why judging a fight on how many losses you have is never a good idea.

I am not talking about me leaving, I love my country. I am only pointing out the left wings argument about loss of life in Iraq.

It's purely political. We will be in Iraq 20 years from now and probably longer. The Dems know this...they are just trying to satisfy the far left wing anti-war contingent in their party. They are pretending to try and bring the troops out. As I said, it's all political B.S.
We still have troops in Japan, Germany, South Korea...where is the cry to bring them home? People that argue this are fools. We will be in Iraq for a very long time. Get used to it.

Actually, this country is becoming quite insane. The extremes are running it on both the right and the left. The Constitution has been shredded by the last 3 Republican administrations and the last Democratic one, also.
Religious nuts actually get AIR TIME on real news programs. They are so interconnected to the US legislature that ridiculous things such as gay and lesbian discrimination, faith based social programs and the near establishment of the Protestant faith as the official church of the US.
Government statistics are lied about with such great frequency that no one even cares about them, since they are probably just made up anyway.
Our nation is quite nuts. There is plenty of outcry from the left, but you know what? No one listens. Why? No idea. The propaganda machines of both of the major parties has muddied every issue so badly that no one without a full time devotion to any on subject could possibly understand it. It's like being in a Kafka novel.
We're probably only one or two major terrorist attacks away from being a police state run by the church and the government anyway. And no one will care, because they are Christian patriots too. They will gladly shred the Constitution and make the Bible the law of the land. Conservative Religious Fascism is a friendly ideology amongst a lot of Americans these days, and I think that's the most frightening thing of all.

Oh, that outcry has been happenning ever since we talked about invading Iraq...it happenned a lot during the Reagan administration too. Liberals can't handle not having the power, and as a result go into hissy-fits. Just a month or so ago there was talk about VERMONT seceeding from the Union!
Some people have no appreciation for the freedoms they have.

Wish I could sneak a peak at the "4000th Loss" stories already on the media's shelves- see what condescending titles and slogans they'll give it, what aghast editorials are already written, witness the depth of sensationalism in their agenda...
I bet they look over their storyboards with giddiness for the day they get to spew it forth.

Lots of people are moving from the US to Canada. Rush Limbaugh pointed this out, yesterday. Mostly it is fed up liberals who are leaving. I think that is a good thing.

poor comparison
The whole of America is much larger than Iraq.
And the soldiersin Iraq are killed in spite of the fact they are wearing body armour & carrying guns for defence.
Not that I think we should leave - but your arguement is flawed & makes those who don't want to "cut & run" look uninformed.
