how soon did you stop listening to them?

That type of conversation usually ends up in a heated dispute. Does for me any way! I don't like it when some one says to me, "Do you know what YOUR problem is?"
Well of course I already do, but I know they are going to give me their opinion anyway, which I am not going to like!
What makes them think that what ever my problem is they are going to resolve it for me anyway! Are they more perfect than I am? Gr-r-r, this just irritates me. Yes, I know what MY problem is-- what's THEIRS!

Unfortunately, I'm surrounded by idiots and morons on a daily basis, so I start conversations like that frequently. I stop listening to them when they start becoming defensive.

As soon as I hear problem, I walked up turned around and left. I don't need an a$$hole to think they know me better than I do myself.

a few times, i stopped listening almost immediately... the phrase was attached to a person that had too many problems of her own to make a rational comment on any of mine...

I usually am the one starting that conversation. People tend to either deck me or run away screaming and crying.

Dragon stopped listening when they said "You". Cuz when someone says "You" in that tone of voice, Dragon doesn't care to heer what they are gonna say.
