That's not offensive.
I agree with all these people - I think that if it was a choice, and I got to make it at that crucial point, that I wouldn't CHOOSE to be gay.
Since I don't have the choice, and now that I've accepted it as part of me...to be honest, I REALLY like it! I love men, I love how they look and smell and sound and act, and I like that I can be comfortable with that. Plus, you're special at parties, everyone thinks you're funny (or annoying) and all your girlfriends don't mind telling you things other guys would KILL to hear!
...sigh...yeah, it's fun being gay. ; )

I don't think that I like or don't like being gay. I really don't think about it that much.
When I first realized that I was gay, I knew that it would be difficult because I was raised to believe that it was a sin. So, I guess in that respect, it wasn't a happy revelation for me. I had known for as long as I had a memory of attraction that I liked women but it never really became an issue until I was older.
The struggles that come with being gay aren't ones that you're born with but rather the ones that are put on you by other people.
Thankfully, I got to a point in my life when I realized that I'm responsible for my own life and I'll be held accountable for my choices. I'm not going to let another person make those for me.
Now that you asked, I guess I'd have to say that I'm happy being gay.

I was scared and afraid when I first realized that I was gay. I didn't want to be a disappointment to anyone...
It took a long time for me to love myself.....I was tainted by all the hate that I had heard as a child.....but I am just me....a person....being gay is just who I am...and I love myself.
I hope this answers your question.

I don't know why I'm answering this question because your grammer is so off it gives me a headache. But I like being gay. I hate to sound cliche but do you like being straight? I guess I just like being who I am. I have never felt any different than I have always felt.

As with any process of discovery, there are several phases. The initial phase is usually the most difficult. It is the same for me. For me, there was at first a sense of guilt and shame. Feeling that I was the only one in the world. Until I went to West Hollywood and realized that there is an entire city full of freaks like me! Then I realized if I don't like me who who I am, NOBODY in the world would!
On the opposite side, do YOU like being who you are, including your sexuality, gender, or whatever labels you care to schlep on yourself?

I felt like i was going to die from giving myself away by accident. When i first started thinking about my sexuality i was terrified. So back then i really didn't like being gay.
Now, i don't really care, its a part of me; not the whole of me.

Not everyone enjoys being gay, Some who ask “why me” sometimes are real hard on them selves. But on the other hand you have the ppl who love being gay and I can say that those (I am one of them) that have accepted the fact of being gay.

Yeah, I like being gay. I suppose there are some out there who feel they don't like it, and struggle with in - but I would say in general gay people like being gay. That's basically asking a straight person if they like being straight.
Without going into a huge debate - gay people are born gay, so even if society doesn't accept it - you eventually learn to yourself.

no big deal to me. I like who I am and since sex and sexuality is only a minor part of life, it should not be a big deal to anyone (unless they live and breathe sex 24/7 - hehe). But sometimes bigots can make life a less than pleasant by their words and deeds. Unfortunately that applies to anyone though wh happens to be a target of prejudice.
