pull him out of the tank give him a good spanking and put him in the corner only not if you did that your fish would die so just take both of them out put them into a smaller tank and rearrange the decorations and then put them both in at the same time the goldfish you had in there before is probably thinking it owns the tanks and the new one is a intruder and if they keep chasing each other after that then get a tank divider

They should settle down before long. Goldfish are generally peaceful and once the established fish has had a chance to check out the new arrival and they have established a pecking order inthe tank, all should be peaceful again.

Some fish don't get along with one another. I heard if you put a new fish in the tank with another leave him the bag you got him in along with water in the bag and put it inside the tank. Usually the fish that are already in the tank will get use to him without killing him. That's what you should do with every new fish. Congrats on the new fish btw! =)

Hi,no matter how careful you are fish will fight. All you can do is hope once territory has been decided they will get on.I made the mistake of buying an African Peacock had no idea that there killers.Mine is now 4 years old.I tamed him by luck.I got the glass cleaner out it happens to be blue. This is the truth I clipped him with it & put it in the tank &finally he left the other fish alone.Touch Wood he seems to be settled & now fights with my chinese algae eater who can hold her own.

hahaahahahaha. um i guess the original fish thinks that the new fish is invading his space. try getting a small temp. tank and putting it next to the original and eventually put the new fish back with the old fish so they can get used to each other

the old one might be hungry or just territorial. when adding a new fish to an aquarium feed the old fish and mix around the decorations so all the fish including the new one have a chance to establish their own territory.

this will happen because they are from a different batch. the only thing you can do is put a screen in your tank to separate them.
