She could have had some emotional issues.
Also, she may have been using you until
some one better came along? Now she may be
with him waiting for some one better to come along?
And the final possibility is that she's bipolar
or something to that effect..and she's realized that she was beginning to lose control of her aggressions-afraid that you might find out about her illness or that she might harm you she may have decided to either go seek help privately, or leave you
to shelter you from the oncoming abuse
she would have acted out as a result of her
condition? In other words, leave you before you could hate her and leave her.

There's no what of knowing what happened unless you find your friend and talk to her. Sometimes people go through things and they keep everything to themselves. In stead of talking they just go off somewhere and try to deal with it on their own.

You may have helped her but that didn;t indebt her to you. If she was aggressive and left, then count your blessings.
