I want to start a line of small stuffed animals to sell at trade shows with an eye towards selling on the Internet and at various retailers.

I have the sketches, but do not know where you get such a line of items manufactured. Does anyone know this?

I have tried a LARGE variety of the kind of resources that come to mind immediately - yellow pages, etc. But...nada.

Thanks very, very much for your time.

First you have to make up some prototypes. If you can't sew, google around for custom sewing or put an ad on Craigslist.. There will be many who will be willing to sew your designs and help you adjust it so that it can actually be made. (Often, when someone doesn't sew, they will design something that's not possible.)

When the prototypes are done, decide how large a scale you want to start, and where to get materials. If you'll only be making a few hundred a week, the person who did your prototypes might like the job, or you could go back to Craigslist to look for folks who want to sew at home. If you want many thousands, you can look in your yellow pages or online for "textile fabricators". After they're made, you need to arrange to have them shipped to some kind of warehouse or storage unit while you get busy selling them. Then of course you ave to arrange to have them shipped to wherever they're going to be sold.
