It can take about 6-8 weeks to recover from the surgery, sometimes longer depending on what else was done. If you are still in a lot of pain right now and it's been longer than about 6-8 weeks I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor to let them know what's going on.

A note about post-operative tenderness (something that can occur when other organs are moved around and such) it can take a few months or so to recover from it. But please check with your doctor on this issue as well to see what they say.
