I am 12 and my mom said I might get my period at 13!! I am so freaked out!!!! HELP!!!!!!

DO NOT PANIC... There are worse things in life than starting your period. Everyone startes when their body is ready and only God and Mother Nature know that answer. I started my cycle at 9 years of age. I got through it and so will you. It sounds like your Mom is talking about it with you, don't be afraid to ask her questions, she has been there, and probably felt the same as you do right now. My daughter started at 10 1/2. She was ready and handled it alright, and so will you... Goodluck!

Calm down. You will get your period at some point, but it is nothing to be freaked out about. It's not that bad. Relax.
You MIGHT get it at 13, but you might not get it until 16. It all depends on your body. You won't get it at 13 just because that's when your mom got her (I'm assuming that's why she told you 13). You'll get it when your body is ready. Everybody is different and matures at a different rate.
Talk to your mom. Tell her why you are so freaked about getting your period.

LOL, well do you have discharge?(cervical mucus) If you start to get like clearish/white discharge that's a good indicator that your period is coming in the next year or 2.
Do lots of research on it and stock up on pads, tampons, pantyliners and midol. Every woman has had it since the beginning of the human race so its nothing to be worried about. You should look forward to it because it means you're healthy and most of all, NOT PREGNANT! LOL

It's nothing to be freaked out about honey. It's just part of a woman's life...unfortunately. Most women don't have any problems with their cycles. Just relax, do some research on it & let it be. You'll be alright.

Your mum's right hon, it could happen at that age. I had mine at that age. Prepare and you'll be fine.
