My husband had sympathy pains when I was pregnant both times. It drove me crazy. I would get so ill becasue he would complain about how bad he felt while I was turning into a mean, fat, intollerable mess.

Yep.
It happens with people I feel very close to-- kindred spirits, so to speak.
I usually know that means I need to check in with that person...

I hadn't spoken to my father in about six months when he arrived on my doorstep with, what we first suspected to be, a 24 hour bug. I told him to try and sleep it off in my room.
He had a heart attack on my bed half an hour later.

Whilst he was in the ambulance (I was at home- I've had a phobia of hospitals since I was young) I experienced chest pains that, although they weren't terribly painful, made me scared to breathe in case I breathed too hard and strained my heart (seriously).

It seems silly, thinking about it now, but at the time I was terrified.

♥ Yes... I think it happens when two people are soo close, when they share a special bond. It happens between me & my mom all the time and we dont even live in the same state.

No, but I do get sick when other people vomit, even if I'm not ill.
