Yep, sulfur in the water/pipes. It might just go away on its own. It does here in our house.

that they have added sulfur to the water. when i lived in florida we had that all the time and it got so bad that we started buying bottled water and we even had to install a water purifier as i cant stand the smell that it gives off. the water isnt harmful by any means and u can cook and bathe with it but i just dont like to drink something that smells that way. call your water company and ask them if this is going to be the way the water smells permanenty if it is get bottled or purify the water and it will take some of the smell...

Rule out a smell from the drain. Run water into a glass and walk into another room and see if you still smell it. If I had to bet, I'd bet you're smelling the drain. To fix this pour in some clorox bleach and let it set there.

if u have city water it could be a mold or rotten food in the drains and when it gets wet from the running water it smells or if u have well water it could be the filter in the tank may need to be changed do to deposit build up.

I belief it's the presence of sulfur in the water. Sounds like you need to call the water authority, and to either boil it or drink, cook, and brush teeth with bottled water.

It indicates sulfur in your water usually. You can drink water that has sulfur in it. It just tastes horrible and smells horrible.

It means you have sulphur in your water. It probably won't hurt you, but you might consider getting a water softener or a filter.
