I woke up this morning after my period ended yesterday, and I realized that I had forgotten to take the pill last night. I'm not sexually active, so this has nothing to do with that. I just wanted to know how long this breakthrough bleeding will last? I just finished a really long period of around 10 days, and I started bleeding again this morning, and I'm pretty certain it's because I missed a pill. Any ball park figures for how long it might last? A few hours? A few days? Weeks?

Just start taking the pill as soon as you can, and try to no forget. The break through bleeding is probably because it was so close to your normal period. Do not panic, I used to forget all the time. At the end of my cycle of pills I just left the last one in the pack, remember to take the rest as prescribed.

you just missed a pill one night and did not take It as soon as you realized you had missed it? Did you stop the course? In which case you will have a regular period but it might bleed less and be slightly shorter

you're no longer meant to take extra effective than one delivery administration pill in one day. in case you permit out some pills, you're meant to merely proceed oftentimes taking them, as in case you probably did no longer pass over any pills. merely on the grounds which you probably did no longer have intercourse once you have been ovulating does no longer propose which you may not/did no longer get pregnant. there is often the prospect of changing into pregnant once you have unprotected intercourse by way of fact the guy's sperm can survive on your vagina for as much as 5 or maybe 6 days. while you're knowingly lacking your pills then you truly could use a condom or a minimum of use an emergency contraceptive including Plan B or 2nd probability. in case you are not getting your era around the time which you're meant to, then take a house being pregnant try. solid success!

I'm pretty sure you didn't start bleeding because you missed 1 pill. Usually you dint start spotting until after you have missed 3 pills. Could it be possible that your regular period started flowing again??

Did you miss the active pill or the sugar pill?

Read the pamphlet that came with your pack on what to do with a missed pill.

Most will say to take the missed pill when you remember it, then to take the next pill at the same time you usually take it.
