My boyfriend and I just moved in together about 2 months ago, we work very different hours and are rarely together except on his days off (they vary). Well within the last 2-3 weeks or so he has started stopping at a local bar and playing pool for and hour or so while I am at home sleeping (he works nights I work days). He wants to start a pool league and has been going every night after work to get people together for a league and then practicing. He loves the game and wants to be a pro one day. He is a great player and likes the ego boost of beating everyone. But I feel so uncomfortable with it because he goes every night after work. I know he is not out cheating and he doesent drink but it is just uncomfortable. We have been fighting like crazy because I dont like it...but he feels like I am holding him down. WHAT DO I DO....am I just overreacting, he does spend his days of with me and has no desire to go when we can be together....am I just crazy and insecure??

Did this just begin after living with him? If so, it is hard to believe that all of a sudden he wants to stay out late playing pool. Something odd going on here. If this is becoming to be too much of a problem then just buy a pool table and have him play pool at home.

Well, everyone says you're being possessive, etc. BUT, I wouldn't like this situation either to be honest. I would have a problem with this too. Speaking from experience here, If he is the kind of guy who likes this time out having fun, with the guys, doing whatever, be it late at night, at a bar, whatever... he will continue to like doing this. If you get married, have kids, etc, he will still like to do this kind of thing probably. The pool thing may even just be an excuse, who knows. So if you don't like this behavior, talk to him about it, but if you can't live with it, I don't think he is the guy for you. Like I said, speaking from experience here!!! Best of luck to you.

Don't hold him back from anything he wants to do. I don't understand what you mean when you say you feel uncomfortable with it but then you don't think he is cheating. It sounds like you just don't want him out in a bar without you because you don't trust him. Don't hold him back, but ask oyurself if you are happy in the relationship with someone who wants to do this. If oyu need a homebody, then go find one. If you want this man, deal with it.

At this point it sounds as if you are insecure. Your radar is going off becasue you know with the lack of seeing each other and a pool hall with women waiting to jump his bones is highly possible. Just be vigiliant, loving, and caring until your proven wrong otherwise.

My bf is obbsessed with xbox live video games and he never makes time for us and we fight all the time about it, if he cant take you or make time for alone time with you then dump him its not worth it. You need to do some things together.

You're sleeping during this? Then that sounds like a selfish attitude you have.

You are being possesive of him, it's only natural, if he is not cheating and you are sleeping just be happy he is out enjoying himself. It's only for an hour.
