I think racism is worse in Britain today, than it was say, 10 years ago. I think the Political Correctness and racism laws have done a lot of harm rather than the opposite, for which it was intended. I also think the more immigrants that enter the U.K., legally or illegally will only make the condition worse. Also with the risk of terrorism always present, this only fuels an already bad situation. By the way I don't think you have to be black to experience racism.

Hell to the yeah, racism is everywhere, I could tell you how many racist experience I had in school simply because I'm black. British people don't think there country is that racist but its a pity they have no idea of what its like for other people....

I have many many freinds who are black, Chinese etc, the thing with England at the moment is the failure of immigrants to intergrate into the British way of life ie Muslims wearing the jihab and spouting hatred against thier fellow citizens....this is where many white people are accused of being racist when infact it is more a case of Muslims being racists towards the indiginous peoples.

Good on you for being black and proud I hope you are a proud Brit 1st and foremost though!

Yes it does exist in small minded people. In my opinion there is no place for racism. I hate racism but I've seen a fair bit of it. I work with quite a few African nurses and they do seem to get racially abused by the older patients. I always tell off the patients if they are rude to them.
I have many friends from Africa, Thailand and India so love the different cultures it is after all what makes a country unique.

Don't let racism stop you. Get out there and live. It is a matter of de-sensitizing Europeans to the shock of seeing other colors and features besides their own. You being able to walk around freely and living your life will slowly have an effect on diminishing that fear and allow other foreigners to experience less degrees of racism by not being something new and to be feared..

Yes, i experience it a lot, but i'm german. Certainly rascism between people of different skin colours gets more media attention, what affect that has on the situation, i don't know, although i hear phrases like half-cast to describe people of mixed race a lot. But it doesn't matter who's doing it to who, it still hurts just as much. I find it can be a bit of a taboo subject, which doesn't help

sorry to say it does my friend- there is racism in every country it's the nature of the beast and some take their prejudices to more extremes than others everyone has a bias one way or another - you wouldn't want to change your colour anymore than i would but we can all be proud of who we are and work to be better - i hope the prejudice of others doesn't make you the same - have a good life

Racism will always exsist. This is because some people need the talk down to people about anything and since most racists are complete and utter idiots, they will complain about the colour of your skin.

All the time people make judgements based on inconsequential things like skin colour, racism will exist.
