mandarin gobies are only toxic if you (or a fish) try to eat them and wouldn't release toxins into the tank that would cause the death of your other fish. I think you should look to another causse of the deaths in your tank.

I'm sorry you lost your fish. I don't think the death of the mandarin gobies is what killed your other fish. Even if you believe the mandarin gobies death killed the other fish there was still something that killed the mandarin gobies. Since everything in the tank is dead I would start over. There are several ways to make sure any possible bacteria or parasites are killed before putting more fish in the tank. Pick any method you want and get started. I don't like useing chemicals or medications so my choice would be to completely drain the tank and boil everything. Don't forget to clean any filter media that will be reused like bio balls, and other things. The tank and other items you can't boil and were in contact with the potential pathogens need to be sterilized as well. Use Fresh water to clean and dry the tank and other filter type items. Some people would use a small percentage of bleach then fill the tank w/ freshwater and circulate.

After taking the dead fish out, clean your tank as you usually do. Then refill the tank with fresh water. At this point, you can try to treat the water with chemicals, but what I would suggest first, is to bring a sample of your water to your local petco or petsmart for them to test it. They should be able to tell you if you need to do any further treatment to your water before putting any new fish in. Although, cleaning the tank would probably be enough. But fish are so fragile that its better to be safe than sorry. Hope this helps.

The best thing to do is def drain the tank and clean every nook and cranny of it. Def if the thing that killed your fish were small parasites. Example: There is something that looks like cotton on the fish but it's actually small parasites that even fall to the bottom of the tank to hatch and grow. You wouldnt be able to see this swimming in your tank. Be Cool It may take some time, but aleast the fish that you purchase will last.
