i think james nesbit would make a really good Dr Who,he was fantastic in Jekyl so why not?The first Irish Dr Who....there's already been two scottish ones so why not an irish one?

NooooooooooooooooooooooooooI love James Nesbitt but I like David Tennant as the Dr. I dont like the constant changes anyway.

One of the cool things about the Dr. Who series is that more than person can play the Doctor. There could be a lot of actors that play that role. We get it here in the states on public television stations. If they can keep up the quality productions, I hope that show has a very, very long run - perhaps until the "end of time"... ;)

Noooooooooooo!!
Not just because I love David Tennant, but because Nesbitt never acts! I'm sure he's lovely but he's no Doctor. And he'd be matched wrongly with Martha Jones.
They should go for someone less well known too, so that they encompass the character more.

I'm sorry but James Nesbitt ruined his chances of me liking him with those Yellow Pages adverts, just like the (once) funny guy off My Family did with those god awful BT adverts.

NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! PLEASE!! James Nesbitt is in everything but the crib at the minute!! OMG - don't do it!! There are plenty more actors out there. Why oh why do they have to keep putting the same rubbish actors into things instead of giving up and coming actors a chance????

Then after watching since I was 6, I would have to turn it off. That actor makes my skin crawl!! And I can't STAND his accent.
