If it happened as soon as you filled the tank it's probably from not washing the gravel enough before hand. I would drain the tank, rinse the gravel and refill the tank. That's the quickest way to deal with the haze. Otherwise it will be days clearing up.

If you were just testing the empty tank for leakage, it could be the water forcing the oxygen bubbles floating inside the tank, this will clear up with no time.
By the way, did you treat the tap water chloride before put it into your aquarium.
Sometimes an aquarium setting can easily be disturbed, things such as gravel/substrate, decorative items, filtration system. Never pour water into a pre-designed tank, by that, I meant the new tank no longer empty.
Since you didn't provide enough information re this new tank (fish, decorative items, plants, substrate/gravel, etc.), I won't know what to suggest in getting rid of the cloudiness.

Did you wash your gravel well with water?
If you did, then it is normal for a new tank to be cloudy it should clear up within a couple days. :] Good luck
-- Whatever you do since your tank is cycling dont clean your tank at all it will mess up the beneficial bacteria, and you will have to recycle your tank. :]
