Obama never said that he would attack Pakistan he said he would go after terrorist in Pakistan. why is that so hard to understand and why doesnt that make sense.i am an American soldier who served in Afghanistan and this makes sense. there has been a resurgence of taliban activity in Afghanistan because of Pakistan they have been training on the border and have come back to attack usa.Do we forget that we were attacked by who trained in Afghanistan and not Iraq.

True, and let's not forget it was pakistan that let osama bin laden slip by during operationa anaconda.
I think it's quite an interesting & refreshing stance from the guy who talks about Bush and his horrible foreign policy, and part of a party that usually refuses to address Muslim extremism by name.
For me, a right leaning libertarian, I am very happy to see anyone in either party take a stand against terrorism from its sources.

First, most people who are liberal fail to realize that under the Clinton Regime, We could have had Osama numerous times, but Clinton let him go. He was caught in the sudan at a terrorist training camp with many top leaders. The sudanese caught him and offered him to us, but we declined. Second, Obamas retoric sounds exactly like the same speach Bush gave when we first went after terrorism in those parts. I am also a soldier and have seen first hand what is going on. It's not that we are afraid to get him, it's that the proper resources havn't been implemented to do the job correctly. Obama is a wasted vote, and his inexperiance and his blatant raceism will be his down fall.

Or those trained in Iran either. Most were trained in Afghanistan or in Saudi Arabia, but for some reason you don't see the US attacking Saudi Arabia.
They attack Obama by lies and innuendo because they know how effective the practice is. Look how well they got Kerry with lies and misquotes. Just more of the same.
What makes me laugh is that the American people seem to be willing to have liars and thieves making their decisions and laws for them.

I couldn't agree with you more.
The Bush supporters are undoubtedly frightened by the logic of pursuing Bin Laden in Pakistan rather than in Iraq.
A mountain of GPS locators all pointing to Bin Laden in Pakistan wouldn't alter the Bush defenders' ignorantly held positions that Iraq is the only way to go in response to our 9/11 tragedy.
Thanks for pointing out the hyprocisy and even more, thanks for your service to the country!

He said he would invade Pakistan. The context matters little. Al Qaeda is in Iraq also so fight them where ever they are. Please tell me which General Officer the newby had a discussion with. I think the man is talking beyond his means.
Are you willing to be nuked? We are in Pakistan operations have shown we are.

So let me get this straght....You want to invade one of our closest allies in the region, one that >Defiantly< has Nuclear weapons (And has shown their resolve to use them), and has been shown to be more than a slightly unstable ( But friendly to the USA) government...An area that we need for our Air access to Afghanistan, and the rest of the region, and start landing troops & supplies there?
Oh, yes!..... GREAT IDEA Einstein!
That should make the losses in the current golf war look barely noticeable, by comparison!
When will you guys (Libs) start thinking before you speak of that which you do not understand?
Classic!

Just typical repubican spin. They search for anything that can be taken out of context and start to spin it to thier liking. This IS the "Rovian way" to come out on top of the issue. Define the issue on your terms first, then to defend themselves, the opponents are forced to use your terms . With the right beginning spin, a defender doesn't have a chance.

For the same reason they put words in ALL the candidate's mouths. They don't like him, and they want to make him look bad. Pretty much all of them from Obama to Clinton to McCain to Giuliani have to deal with this. That is why it is so important for them to be as clear and concise as possible.
