Are you kidding me? I bawled my eyes out! And when my 24 yr old moved out, I cried my eyes out again. ( for a week)
And this time he cried too. He is now going thru a heartbreaking divorce, and we're both crying together. I thought sending him off on that bus yellow school bus that morning was the worse feeling ever, but seeing him cry everyday, and feeling totally helpless, is unimaginable. This has to be the worse a mother can feel next to loosing her child forever. I know exactly how you feel, believe me,
It doesn't get any better. A parent who really cares deeply for their children will always feel their hurt and pain. I'm getting emotional just typing this. I don't want to make you feel worse than you do, but I have a poem that I am about to post on Answers in a bit called, "My First Day At School" This is a real tear jerker. Good Luck, and God Bless you & your family.

Oh girl, I have put 5 wee ones out for their first day in the big world at school, college, jobs, marriage, becoming parents, and grandparents, and each time I look at them I still see their tiny little shining faces looking at me with a smile as they are "off" for their first day of school....boohooo somebody get me a kleenex....but, I will tell you, the proof in being a good parent and raising your kids right, is when they are off and become good students, then good workers, then good partners, then good parents, then they take care of their worn out mom....Proof in the pudding dear! My baby is turning 27 next week, and I can still cry at the sweet memory of her as a little one! So cry if you want to, then buck up and clean house or something.....

no, I didn't cry with my first, because he was Mr. Independant, he went right in and acted so very grown up. My youngest though, I had to walk him into the room, take him to his seat and them he started to cling on to me, the teacher had to come and get him and he was crying when I left the room. I hated to leave him like that, it went on for the 1st few days then he was fine.

I thought I was able to handle it, but when I walked him in the room - the tears started falling, I couldn't believe it! But I was at that happy sad point. Good luck - you won't be the only mother crying!

Not Pre School but when our last one (we have 3) started first grade yes, and the other two I had a very sad/happy feeling - but they liked it so it made it easier, they grow to fast.
