I’m going to Boston in a few weeks and would like to know any strange or untypical sites to take in while I’m there.
I enjoy seeing / touring the underbelly of cities & towns I visit.
Thanks for any ideas.

A fun place to go is to George's Island. Take the ferry from the dock at the Aquarium (blue line on the T) It's a small island in the harbor. Fort Warren is on there set on rolling grassy hills with amazing views of the ocean. The fort was used in the Civil war to house Southern POW soldiers. Then some concrete batteries (big guns) were added during the WW2. They are largely crumbled and broken. It's fun to explore. Some say there is a ghost there!!

It's a great place for a picnic on a nice day too.
