The road I've traveled ain't got yellow bricks. I thank God for everything he's given me. I'm fortunate to have what I've now got. Forget the "Jones's"

Hi,
I always try to keep my thoughts positive and to stay optimistic (though it's not always easy.) I have a lot of blessings to count more especially a family I love and care for as without love, where would we be? We should never compare and measure what we have against someone else or the grass might always seem greener on the other side. Anyway, there are some blessings money cannot buy and they're the best ones of all.

I always count my blessings, hoard them, and laugh at the unfortunate people of the world as I lay in a pile of money. In all seriousness, I think myself and most are happy with what we have but hold out the hope that we "hit the lottery" someday. Strong families help to be happy with one's lot in life.

I count my blessings. I was going down a slippery slope until I chose to change and now I love my life and feel great.
my dad how ever seems to measure, he hates his life and sees no value in what he has got because it's not money and big House etc.

No. Because there's just too many blessings that you don't even realize it's happening at all. You should be indeed very happy for every one single blessing you have, even the rain. But especially Yahoo! Answers.

Never measure against somebody else. Never compare. There is ALWAYS someone better off and conversely there is ALWAYS someone worse off. Look at yourself out of context. It is the best way. Trust me
