The deepest part of the world's oceans is in the Marianna Trench- located in the Pacific ocean. this trench is located just east of the 14 Marianna islands, near Japan.
***The deepest point of the Mariana Trench is called The Challenger Deep , so named after the British exploration vessel HMS Challenger II, and it is located 210 miles south-west of Guam. This depth was reached in 1960 by the Trieste, a manned submersible owned by the U.S. Navy.***

The deepest point in each of the earth's oceans are as follows; the Arctic Ocean's Eurasian Basin at 5,450 meters (17,881 feet) deep, the Indian Ocean's Java Trench at 7,725 meters (25,344 feet) deep, the Atlantic Ocean's Puerto Rico Trench at 8,648 meters (28,374 feet) deep and the Pacific Ocean's Mariana Trench at 11,033 meters (36,201 feet) deep.

In order to better illustrate the actual depth of the Mariana Trench, consider the following; if Mount Everest, which is the tallest point on earth at 8,850 meters (29,035 feet), were set in the Mariana Trench, there would still be 2,183 meters (7,166 feet) of water left above it.

hope this helped!!!!!

The average depth of the oceans is about five times the average elevation of the land. In general, the continents stand about three miles above the ocean floor. According to the National Geographic Atlas, the deepest-known part of the ocean measures 10,924 meters (35,839 feet), in the Marianas Trench near Guam. If the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest (29,141 feet), were to be placed into this trench, it would be covered by over 1.25 miles of water.

The Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench about 200 miles from Guam is the deepest known part of the ocean. A bathyscaph went 10,800 meters deep into this trench in 1960 but not to the bottom of it. Strapped to the outside was a Rolex "Bathyscaph" wristwatch that survived this ordeal. The bottom is 11,100 meters deep. Bell & Ross made two watches that will dive that deeply, and Keinzle made one guaranteed to 12,000 meters.

Are you kiding? It would cause the biggest catastrope the world has ever seen! There would be world wide panic with tsunamis across the world. Flooding like we could never imagine. All Pacific Islands would be wiped out as well as the entire United States, Asia and most if not all of land masses. It's not a matter of the depth of the ocean being able to absorb the impact, it would be the displacement of that much water, like a fat dude belly flopping into a swimming pool from a few stories up, but times a few million!

Depends on who u ask.

The most common depth published is 35,839ft. +-1 ft.

Here it appears that the Challenger Depth is 36,200ft
but the Trieste didn't go all the way to the bottom.
The way it is sometimes stated, it reads like they went to the bottom.

"The deepest point in the world's oceans is the Challenger Deep, in the Marianas Trench; its depth is 11.03 km (36,200 feet). In 1953, the bathyscaphe ("bathy" = deep, "scaphe" = ship) Trieste descended to 35,800 ft (10.91 km) in the Challenger Deep."

AND they had a Rolex watch by that name strapped to the outside - and it kept ticking - sorry they just hum.
