Will it deform or damage the diamond a little bit or will it come out flawless if taken back from the molten magma?

A diamond will burn if exposed to enough heat. I seem to remember that Benjamin Franklin proved this when he burned a diamond in a fire.

So yes, the diamond would be destroyed if it fell into magma. Diamonds are crystalline carbon, so it would react with ambient air and become carbon dioxide.

the melting point of diamond is 3820 degrees Kelvin so unless your magma is that hot (which i doubt it will be) then the diamond will not melt
