The TV anime isn't over in Japan. It's in the middle of the 12th season with new episodes slated to air through late August:

I suspect that Jimmy won't ever solve his own case, because that would end the series for good.

it's still ongoing in Japan, the latest file is file 618 for manga and episode 482 for anime..........and no sign for its ending yet!
