She has a very irritating voice and she is a wannabe goth/skater chick but she's way too clean-cut and bothered about her appearance to be one! A cardboard skater girl if you will! She has also went all lovey dovey commercial all of a sudden. Not very skater punk if you ask me.

I find her annoying too. I'm not a skater/punk girl myself but I always felt that she was posing. Her music isn't exactly hardcore or anything. I also dislike the way that she would criticize people like Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears (back in her "not that innocent" days), and others who did a lot of dance choreography in their videos and how she would never do something like that. Yeah, o.k. Avril, so then why did you dance like Britney in that girlfriend video, hmmm? It sure didn't look like a parody to me and to top it off, she had a freaking rap remix. You know, kinda like what Fergie and Nelly Furtado and Gwen Stefani does. Why can't she just admit that she wants to be like them and put out a hip-hop/pop princess album already?

Yea but no1 likes Avril Lavigne for her music or voice. Why do you think mute buttons were invented? So you can whack off listening to something you do like while shes on TV.

No she make very Awesome music but I do have to admit that she did make a really fast transformation from skater to princess but I love her anyway!

Couldn't agree more, actually i was watching the advert for her new album the other day and the same thing was running through my head.
Its like they've decided to change her into Kelly Clarkson Mark2 as that's what selling records these days i guess. Just goes to show how false the image was in the first place.

whatever. sounds like you're just jealous of her success. I didn't really pay much attention to her until I heard the song "Girlfriend." I like the lyrics...pretty funny and nervy at the same time. If some gal told my boyfriend that in real life, they'd get slapped but I had to laugh when I heard the song the first time.

The thing is, she's not that bad looking. But she's such a stroppy cow for no reason. If she just lightened up a bit and smiled more (what with her being young, rich and relatively successful and all), she'd not be so annoying.

nah, i think she went all lovey dovey cuz she fell in love and got married. that could do it to a person. and as far as the cardboard skater i think she is into all that, but you have to keep in mind that shes famous and is expected to present herself at ceromonies and stuff lookin nice. now my sister is a hardcore goth/paggan and she still cleans up when we go out to nice places.
