When people phone you for a telephone number and when you say.."certainly, the number is ..............." then they interupt you and say.." hold on, let me just go grab a pen quickly"...
Arrggg I hate it...They know they are phoning for a number now why the **** dont they bring a ******* pen...!

I always hear hold on let me find an ink pen.....like a pen would be made of anything else. I just tell them to call back when they are ready.

lol, Ive had that all morning. I make appointments for children in a hospital and the parents ring and they dont have the hospital number, the date of birth (yes they forget the date of birth of their only child, lol), a pen and peice of paper.
What else is annoying is that they say 'well its really urgent because he/she is sick' then you offer them next week and they say 'Oh no sorry, I have a golf tournament, cant possibly do it!!!'

yeah..its so dumb, they know they are gonna ask for a phone number but they don't have a pen n paper ready..i swear i would have just slam the phone down if i wasn't a much patient person

yer but just think if they all had a pen handy are were ready and diddnt spend ten mins hunting around looking for one you would have double the phone calls to answer:-)

Well some of them think they can memorise it, just wishing its only 3 numbers but when you call ouit the the number they are like oh shucks, my memory aint that good....lol
