I've had spots on my face, chest and back too n use a toner that have these ingredients: witch hazel, allantoin, aloe vera, tea tree oil, licorice. To make it more effective, i add clindamycin (bought from pharmacy. 1 capsule per 100ml of toner, shake bottle thoroughly to mix) which my doctor recommended to me. Its an oral medication and have a very effective way of clearing those ugly spots. Clindamycin is also can be used by pregnant women (externally to treat pimples) because it is safe compare to salicylic acid, retinol, etc).
Just apply with a cotton pad onto those acne avoiding mouth n eye area. Your skin will immediately feel a new sense of cleanliness n suppleness. Within days, your skin will regain a healthier, youthful and a more refreshed look. Pores are also minimized and you just need very little make up.
Dont worry too much. Probably you are at stress or eating foods that are high in fat, sugar, salt. Drink plenty water n eat more fresh fruits n veges. Wear comfortable and breathable cotton clothing.

Dont worry its all part of being a teenager. And certainly nothing to do with being clean! Getting yourself to a doctor is certainly a good idea. And if your boyfriend will be bothered by this he's not avery good boyfriend! He should be understanding! Don't be embarrassed though, it happens to everyone at some point! Just laugh about it! I once had a spot on my ear lobe and got really freaked out about it cos I didnt know what it was. And my boyfriend at the timne was like it's a spot! N he was like ill pop it for u (yeah gross i know but i was freakin out lol) so he popped it and the gunk shot out!!! it was gross but really funny after!!! Thought that might make you feel better anyway!

Cant add much on top of a real doctors advice other than, my doc tried oxytetracycline with me for years insisting it was the best but it never worked, eventually went away itself. I found going out in a private garden or a friends every now and again and letting myself 30 Min's sun max and exposing badly affected areas , like on my back especially, seemed to help to clear them up quicker. Im sure any doctor will tell u to be care full about spending any significant time in the sun unprotected

Could have something to do with hormones. You mentioned that you are seeing your doctor and that's good but a consultation with a dermatologist (a doctor that treats disorders and diseases of the skin) could be helpful in trying to find out what's causing all these spots.

It's probably because of the heat of summer, (i know its been raining if your in uk, but it's still humid and sticky) your skin produces more sebum, and you sweat all over more, which make's more spots sprout up here there and everywhere. particularly the back, the chest and botttom where you sweat more. It should calm down as the weather gets cooler, if it doesnt, then mention it to the doctor next time you pick up your lotion.

Have you ever tried using an exfoliant? I have these scrubby gloves that I use to get rid of dead skin - I wonder if that would work. My brother had something like that and it looked a lot like clogged pores.
Also use a toner like Oil of Olay - or rubbing alcohol after with a cotton ball if it looks like acne. If it looks like a fungus rash, use Selsun Blue - that will clear it up.

I'd recommend an over-the-counter cream called Freederm. Its really good, I was on medication from the doctors, tried everything to no avail, but then my boyfriend (who also, like me, suffers from spots on his back) suggested that Freederm and it cleared my back up a treat.
Hope this helps!

If the spots are hypopigmented, they may be Tinea Versicolor, kind of fungal infection. You may need a course of antifungal drug like Itroconazole + local application of Miconazole. I don't know you can get them across the counter.
Good luck!

Do they appear at a specific time? like when you are nervous. Are they itchy? Hope the second trip to doctors can shed some light on the matter.
