I have seen the military cadets on the sidelines at games, so could it be Army & Marines?

Agricultural and Mechanical.

All services are represented in their ROTC program.

Once upon a time (early 80s) their entire Special Teams were comprised of ROTC cadets. It may still be so today.

Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University. I know others have come up wth the same answer but I wanted to mention how much I love watching their home games and seeing the guys in uniforms kiss their girlfriends when A&M scores a touchdown. It's stuff like that that makes college ball so much fun to watch.

Agricultural and Mechanical, although it doesn't really mean much anymore. They are mostly known for their engineering and business schools now.

And the entire special teams isn't ROTC. ONE walk-on player suits up with the number 12 (12th man) and plays on the kickoff team every game. They don't just throw a bunch of ROTC kids on the field.

Agriculture and Mining ... these were important skills and these institutions of higher education were specifically land-granted and funded by the Federal Government to increase the knowledge and productive abilities (as well as to provide the most up-to-date technology and techniques) to the backbone of the United States in its early years .... and food, minerals, and other related production were VERY important to the building of a successful country as a whole.
