Hey I heard somewhere that some google algorithm or something for the password of gmail has been leaked and any password of a gmail acc can now be hacked
is this true or just a rumour?

There used be a lot of phishing going on using myspace... making use of the vulnerability in quicktime that lets u embed javascript in videos... it used to be directed to a fake gmail login page and hence.... the word 'leaked; is used so emphatically..
now that's been fixed.. moreover... google uses an algorithm that makes use of compution on a different server than the one on which the database resides... so don't think any form of hacking is still possible.... bruteforcing wud work.... but wud take a loooooooooooong time for that....
XSS was never been possible on gmail and this makes it kinda difficult...
hope someone figures out something soon...
