It takes about a good 6 seconds of my key completely turned to have my car start. Whats the problem?

Probably a dirty fuel filter . When fuel tank is low , it will start to suck up sediment in the bottom , so if you already have a some what dirty fuel filter it will clog it more. Drop a fuel tank some day and look in the bottom , it is pretty scary . I usually dont let my tank go past a 1/4 empty , if I can help it .

Sounds like a 2005 sentra with out the fuel pump repair kit. Fuel pressure that drops causes about 5 or 6 seconds of grinding on the starter before fuel pressuer rises enough to run. AS ALWAYS YEAR MAKE MODEL AND MILES!

you should consider changing the filter and then have the fuel pressure tested ti make sure your pump is on the way out in a clean normal working system you should ne able to run the tank dry without any starting problems

You really should not let your fuel tank get below a 1/4 of a tank, over time it is hard on your fuel pump. Sounds like a fuel pump problem.

if it takes that long to start you have checked out. it should'nt have any thing to do with how much gas you have.
