Below is in extract from an article on Cricinfo: http://content-www.cricinfo.com/engvind/content/current/story/305017.html

Matt Prior, the England wicketkeeper, was the loudest on the field but Moores stood up for him. "That's how he usually operates, that's what he does and that's what he was selected for," he said.

I found it very funny that he mentioned that he was selected for being loud! If cricketing ability would've been the criteria, England might've had a better result in the test.

that was an uncalled for comment by the england coach and we will see him taking it back in the next few days he should have just spoken about how good a wicket keeper prior is and not said that he was selected cos he is the loudest

Sledging is now becoming as a passion of cricket. I also saw this in the Sri Lanka and Bangladesh series. Sledging had been misunderstand by the Bangladesh school boys. They played poor cricket and tried to win the game by sledging.

England cannot win even in home. They are the poorest cricketing nation. They are just ahead Namibia.

If we say that Cole, Gerrard and Rooney are England's best players, Cole has the best chance of sneaking in but probably loses out to Lahm on the left side. Gerrard loses out to the likes of Pirlo, Xavi, Xabi Alonso (to name a few) and Rooney loses out to Gomez.

sleding is part and parcel of the game,it makes cricket more enjoyable and yea wicket keepers are usually the loudest on the field.

Oh.. comeon.. thats just a part of game.. when you are loosing, you start showing the opponents that you are feeling down..
some opponents take that as a good sign..and win(like india did recently)
some feel it on their heart..and loose(like india used to do)

Definetly,Wicket-keeper must be loud enough, but it should not be key factor for selecting in the team

You are right my friend he should concentrate on his cricket not on loudness he makes during fielding.
