I'm an actress and I would to create my own website. I want to be able to put on it songs, pics, videos, slideshow, resume, links, etc. I already know about myspace and facebook but I also want my very own. Any suggestions that won't cost an arm and a leg or free? Tips? Any help would be so great.

Just find one of those free web hosts with a site builder feature. Alot of them allow you to choose a template, and just add text, music, pictures, etc without any web coding experience at all.
If you want a more unique site, there are plenty of coders out there who make a living off of coding websites. You can get a good site made for anywhere between $50 to $1000 bucks, depending on what you want. The cheaper ones probably will require you to leave a small link back to them at the bottom of the page, but that's usually not an inconvienence.

If you want a free website, you won't get the domain name like www.actress (your name).com (www.annesmith.com for example) and have to settle for www.freewebs.com/annesmith (again for example).
A good website without that freetags will cost you say 1000 - 5000 dollars (I am giving you a rough estimate). If you feel comfortable with that sort of figures, email me and I will put you in touch with the right people.
