Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, especially the third movement of the piece. It sounds like the universe unraveling and coming back together before your very ears. Prokofiev's music always masterfully blends melody with dissonance, but I feel he achieves it best in this work.

There are soooo many beautifuls songs that i have heard, but my top five faves would have to be...

Show me the meaning of being lonely -The backstreet boys
My heart will go on - Celine Dion
With or without you - U2
Wet wet wet - Love is all around
Unchained Melody - The righteous brothers

The instruments, theme, delivery, voice, and the lyrics made them all beautiful songs :)

Here are the lyrics for...
The backstreet boys - show me the meaning of being lonely

Show me the meaning of being lonely

So many words for the broken heart
Its hard to see in a crimson love
So hard to breathe
Walk with me, and maybe
Nights of light so soon become
Wild and free I could feel the sun
Your every wish will be done
They tell me...

Chorus:

Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why I cant be there where you are
Theres something missing in my heart

Life goes on as it never ends
Eyes of stone observe the trends
They never say forever gaze if only
Guilty roads to an endless love
Theres no control
Are you with me now
Your every wish will be done
They tell me

Chorus:

Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why I cant be there where you are
Theres something missing in my heart

Theres nowhere to run
I have no place to go
Surrender my heart, body and soul
How can it be your'e asking me to feel the things you never show

You are missing in my heart
Tell me why I cant be there where you are

Chorus:

Show me the meaning of being lonely
Is this the feeling I need to walk with
Tell me why I cant be there where you are
Theres something missing in my heart.

So many :0( I'll try a random few:

Fatal Tragedy by Dream Theater (lyrics, melody, musicianship, guitar solo, keyboard solo)

Lucy in The Sky with Diamonds by Beatles (a Dream-like Song)

Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd (Lyrics, melody, guitar solo)

More Than Words by Extreme (Wonderful Acoustic Guitar and vocal harmony)

The Great Southern Trendkill by Pantera (Such an in-your-face tune & real BAD-ARS! I'm not British, but yahoo is censoring my word:0D )

Shiver by Coldplay (Lyrics!)

imagine by john lenon..
here are the lyrics. decide for urself

Imagine there's no Heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will live as one

"He Ain't Heavy, He's just Bulky"
There's no way to pick one, but Linda Rondstat singing "Silver Blue" or "Desparado" would be in the top ten. Carol King also blows me away and "Far Away" always gives me chills. I think Linda Rondstat may be the most versatile and best female voice of the era. fun question. peace

Radiohead's Punchdrunk Lovesick Singalong because it's very mysterious and sexy. Or I think it is anyway.
