mostly i smile back and sometimes i say hello too..........
but there are some wired'dos in this world so i use my judgement and pertend not to notice sometimes,,,(if i think He/she is ku-ku, or crazy- wired etc)

I smile back... I think it really depends on the type of area you live in. I am in a small village, and even the people you dont know are always friendly towards each other. Large cities are different, people are more wary of strangers. I love being friendly tho, and smile at people all over the place!!

If it's an innocent-looking friendly smile, I smile back. But if it strikes me more as a leer, I pretend not to notice.
