i had a major delay of 6 hours with olympic airlines,,,is this regularily happening ,,,and if i use aegean will i encounter a more regular time table..thanks in advance

Dont think that there is such a big difference...I travel a lot, and i have been delayed so many times by Aegean, or moved to antoher waiting room without warning...
It is summer, and it is natural because of the air traffic, especially in the islands..It happened to me that Olympic Airlines left in advance once, it was april...Needless to say that i have suffered more with other foreign national airlines , suitcases missing, and found hours later, lack of organisation..
It is always like that.Bear in mind 2 things..Either traffic air jam, or weather...
And the result...the same, fights in the airport, and the usual greek question:Who is the responsible''?Funny from one part...from the other...we finish on a chair, sending mobile messagges, or spending money to the duty free shops...Also this has its charme isnt it?

As a travel agency I travel a lot!!
You can face delays with airline company even the really good ones such emirates!There are many things that may cause a delay such as the weather or mechanical problem- but think that it is better to have adelay and travel with safety than to have the fear that the airplane is going to fall!
Aegean usually doesn't have problems with delays,,and it is also cheaper than Olympic...But you have to look carefully

Olympic airways is a very safe and comfortable airline. However, it often has delays, or even cancellations due to personnel strikes etc. Aegean is probably more reliable in this aspect.

Don't worry about that, it happened to me almost all the time. I never had problems with Aegean but I haven't used them as often as Olympics! Weather also often contributes to delays!
Just go for a frappe and take it easy, just like the Greeks!

Olympic is the worst airline on earth A six hour delay is actually very good for them. I would advise everybody to never use Olympic. Bad service, rude staff, horrible food and always late. Olympic managed to put me of going to Greece completely

I've never had problem with eagean!! in fact, next week, I am flying with eagean!!
I have never faced myself a delay with olympic airlines but i have heard about it, so avoid it to be sure!!! eagean is more expensive though....

i currently live in Athens and flight delays lately are very common. using aegean would probably be better because it is a private company.
