c2d t5500 or t5600?

Question

is there any major difference between these 2 processors?
1.66 seems a fair bit smaller than 1.83 for some reason but was wondering performace diff.

its an extra 110 bucks australian to upgrade via dell.

i have fair decent specs everywhere else but; i.e 256mb video card, 2gb ram etc.

Significant difference only in synthetic benchmarks, multimedia encoding and newer games. No noticeable performance difference in office applications, internet, MP3 and DVD playing.
